Institute officers elected during annual meeting
GQRRIE--The annual meetins.
of the Women's Institute was held
at the home of Mrs. Alex Graham
last Wednesday with 48 members
and one visitor present.
The president, Mrs. Alex
Graham, conducted the busines.
Final arrangements were made
to purchase a bench from the
former CPR station, as a 75th an-
niversary project, which is to be
placed in the downtown area.
There was discussion regarding
cleaning of the community hall,
which has been done by the Insti-
tute members this past year. The
members felt this should be a
community effort which would be
a benefit to the hall board and to
the commu.,nity as well. Help off

anyone wishing to contribute in
this manner would be very much
appreciated.
Mrs. `Morley Johnson conduct-
ed the election of officers which
were presented by Mrs. Glenn
Johnston. The officers for the

neckline. Karen Miller sewed a
lapel seam. Rosemary Nickel did
understitching of a facing and
Mrs. Livermore made a sample
of corded piping. For group work
the girls did a sample of corded
piping for their record books.
