Open. house is held at Annual meeting
East Wawanosh School of RB Knights
By Marilyn Congram
BELGRAVE — The annual
"open house" was held at East
Wawanosh . Public School on
Tuesday evening of last week. It
began at 7:30 o'clockand lasted
two hours when, hopefully, the
parents and friends were pleased
with what they saw Of the stu-
dents' accomplishments.
The visitors were allowed to
view the achievements until 8
o'clock when 'a small perform-
ance,was presented by the school.
Since East Wawanosh School
"learns to do, by doing," many
students took part. While Doreen
Anderson and Doreen Taylor
struggled with their duties (piano
background and chairman re-'
spectively) Gary Hopper, Marnie
Walsh, Kathy Galbraith and
Mary Bakelaar recited their pub-
lic speeches (well at least tried
to). Bob' Mitchell also entertained
everyone with. two organ solos.
The Belgrave ' Men's Choir
ended the performance with
several numbers. .
Every one probably enjoyed
the open house, which hopefully,
brought joy to their week, as
many students feel they can use
all the joy they can get, consider-
ing the coming of the much
doomed report cards. It is hoped
that , next year as many people
will attend and enjoy the East
Wawanosh Public School Open
House.
