Donald James MacTavish
is married at Brantford
An empire style gown of
peau de charm, trimmed with
lace and pearls at the hemline
and bodice, was worn by Bren-
da Noreen Bryant of Brantford
on August 16 when she became
the bride of Donald James.,Mac-
Tavish of Brantford. Her nylon
illusion shoulder veil fell from
a large. white velvet bow and
she carried miniature carnations
and white daisies.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mts. John K. MacTavish
of Brantford, formerly of Blue -
vale. The bride's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Bryant of
Brampton. The ceremony at
Greenbriar Presbyterial Church
was conducted by Rev. Douglas
Black. Wedding m u s i c was
played by Mrs. W. H. Crozier.
Miss Margaret Collins of
Brantford was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were sisters of the
bride and groom, Miss Susan
Bryant and Miss Jean MacTav
ish. They wore empire style
sleeveless gowns of lilac moire
and carried white daisies.
John MacTavish was his broth-
er 's b est man and ushers were
Harvey Mann of Bluevale and
Bruce aeland, Brantford:
The reception was held at
the Holiday km. The bride's
mother received wearing a pink
crepe ensemble with white ac-
cessories and the groom's moth-
er assisted in -a yellow lacedress
with white accessories. Their
corsages were white daisies.
The bride's travelling cos-
tume was a white pant dress suit
with black accessories. They
went to Montreal for their hon-
eymoon.
The groom's grandparents.

of Bluevale, attended the wed-
ding.

Mary Anne Conron, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Contort of

ficiated. The organist was /vim.
Sydney Smith of Teeswater and
Frank Renwick, Teeswater, sang
"0 Perfect Love", "The Lord's
Prayer", and "This Is Our Day".
Mr. Conron gave his daughter
in marriage.
The bride's gown of white
delustered Imp Pompadour satin
was princess style with a lace
panel in front. Matching lace
trimmed the scoop neckline and
elbow -length sleeves. A chapel
train fell from the waist fe-amr-
ing triple bands of raschal lace.
Her headpiece, a fitted Dutch
cap with seed pearls secured a
triple illusion veil. She carded
a bouquet of white roses, steph-
anotis and ivy.
Her attendants wore identic-
al gowns of Baltic blue, also
princess style with mandarin
collar and inverted pleat from
the back waist trimmed with
matching bow and ribbon. Theft
headpieces were fan bows with
roses and they carried white car-
nations, yellow mums and blue
pompon mums. Miss Marie
Coultes of Toronto was maid of
lxmor and the bridesmaids were
Miss Susan Reynolds of Toronto
and Mrs. Florence Fish, Guelph.
Flower girls were cousins of
the bride, Misses Nancy and
Jennifer Conron, Toronto. They
wore floor -length gold dresses
with bodice pleats front and
back and jewelled necklines.
They carried baskets of white
and yellow mums and blue pom-
pon mums.
The groom's brother, Gordon
Malvern of Windsor was best
man. Ushers were brothers of
the bride and groom. Barrie
Conron of Wingham and Jim
Malvern, Windsor.
The guests were received at
the home of the bride's parents
Diagonal Road in the afternoon
with a buffet dinner at the Blue
Barn- at 6 p. m. The guests'
tables and buffet were decorat-

The empire waisted wedding
gown was gathered from the •
side seams" to the back, to form
a train, and the full sleeves,
gathered at the wrists were set
off with white georgette lace.
The collar was Peter Pan style.
• Her headpiece was tiny leaflets
and pearls, from which fell a
floor -length, two-tiered veil
which flowed into a train. The
bride carried .a white Bible,
topped with a yellow rose cor-
sage and rosebuds knotted into
the three streamers. She was
given ill marriage by her. father.

burnt orange wool dress with
side pleat, co-ordinated tweed
double-breasted jacket w ith
brown alligator accessories, and
wore a corsage of yellow roses.
The bride, a graduate of the
University of Guelph, was en-
tertained at several showers
prior to her marriage. The staff
of Pauline Johnston High School(
held a miscellaneous shower and
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Spry held a

cottage on Lake Rossland, Han-
over.
