.sharing our services dui ing the month of August.
We also welcome the visiting clergy who will be tak-
ing charge of the various services in August. We
are sure their messages will be most interesting and
inspiring.

were Mrs. Cyril Boyle and her
daughter Marie, Duets, "Ave
'Maria" and "On This Day, 0
Beautiful Mother", were sung
by Raymond Dalton and Cyril
Boyle.
The bride entered the church
with her father. She wore a
floor -length gown of brocaded
satin in Rose of Sharon design
with matching train, trimmed
with pearls and sequins. Her
shoulder -length veil of white
nylon was held by a tiara of
pearls and sequins and she car-
ried a bouquet of pink roses.
The bride's sister, Miss Eliz-
abeth Leddy of Kitchener, was
maid of honor. Her gown was
rose brocaded satin with which
she wore a matching headpiece.
Shd.carried a bouquet of white
carnations with rose ribbon.
The bridesmaids, MissJoyce
Tiffin and Mrs. Douglas Tiffin,
both of Wingham, and Mrs.
Dave Kehl of Hespeler, were
gowned in mauve and rose satin
brocade with matching head -
pieces. They carried white
carnations with mauve ribbon.
Donna Tompson of White-
church was the flower girl. She
wore a white brocaded satin
dress in Rose of Sharon design,
a matching headpiece and car-
ried a basket of white carna-
tions with pink ribbon. -
Douglas Tiffin of Wingham
was best man. The ushers were
Barry Tiffin of Oshawa, Bill
and Danny Leddy of Lucknow
and Michael Andrew of Auburn
was ring bearer.
The wedding dinner was
held in the parish hall of the
Anglican Church which was
decorated with white and pink
streamers and bells, and baskets
of summer flowers. The recep-
tion was held at the home of
the bride's parents.
Mrs. Leddy wore a green
lace dress with yellow and white
accessories and corsage of yel-
low carnations. The groom's
mother wore a yellow ribbon
lace dress with yellow anchite&
accessories. Her corsage : wag."
pink carnations.
The bride and groom left on
a trip to Niagara Falls and other
places in Southern Ontario. Mrs.
Tiffin travelled in a dress of
sky blue linen, matching hat,
pink and blue jacket and pink
accessories. She wore a cor-
sage of pink 'carnations.
Prior t� the wedding -the
bride was honored at several
miscellaneous showers. Mrs:
Bruce Tompson and Mrs. Will
Kinahan sponsored one for friends
at the Whitechurch Hall. Mrs.
Douglas Tiffin herd one at her
home in Wingham and the mem-
bers of the Red Front staff,
where the bride is employed,
gathered at the home of Mrs. ,
Albert Rintoul.
4-H members
hold shower for
Linda Schwltz
WHITECHURCH--On Mon-
day evening the 4-H girls and
their leaders sponsored a mis-
cellaneous shower for one of
their members, Linda Schultz,
bride-to-be.
The arch was decorated with
cedar, bells and roses, and pink
streamers ,were attached to the
seat of honor to which the bride
elect was escorted as Mrs. Gar-
net Farrier played "Here Comes
the Bride".
Community singing was led
by Mrs. Bill Evans, Mrs. Dan
Tiffin and Mrs. Ezra Scholtz
with Mrs. Farrier as pianist.
Mrs. Victor Emerson presid-
ed for the program and contests
were conducted by Ruth Elliott
and Joann Laidlaw. Mrs. Emer-
son gave readings, -"Exception
to the,Rule", " Modern Brides
Have Hard Time Avoiding Sup-
erstitions Started Centuries Ago"
and "Mothers". Kathy Purdon,
gave an accordion solo, "Daisy':
Miss Schultz was then pre-
sented with the gifts by the 4-H
club. She was assisted in open=
ing the gifts and reading the
verses by Myrna Chamberlain of
Tillsonburg and Mrs. Donna
Johnston. The gifts included
tea towels, bath towels, lunch-
eon cloth, clothes hamper, oven
mitts, blanket, cups and saucers,
doilies, pillow cases, plastic
bowls,. cookware, plaques, relish
trays, bridge set and a bouquet.
Linda expressed appreciation
and invited everyone to visit
her in her new home at Whitby.
Lunch was served by the 4-H
members and their leaders, Mrs,
Walter .Elliott and Mrs. Elmer
Sleightholm.

Heart Church, Walkerton. Father Neustead officiated and

Thomas Gummer of Lin-
wood was best man, The, ushers
were Fred Roek of Palmerston,
brother of the bride, and the
groom's cousin, William Sid-
dais of Wheatley.
Dinner was served at the
church and a reception follow -
ed at the Legion Hall at Pal-
merston. Mrs. Harry Collard
of Wheatley, the.groom's grand,
mother, attended.
The brfde's mother wore a
light blue lace sheath dress with
white accessories and corsage of
pink mums. The groom's moth-
er chose a pink cri'mp1ene
sheath with white accessories
and corsage of white mums.

scene recently for -a shower for
Gail, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Douglas Statia, when about 25
guests attended to honor her on
her approaching marriage. Host-
esses were Misses .Catherine 'and
Louise 4dgar, .assisted by Mrs.
Bruce Montgomery.
Guests were welcomed by
Catherine Edgar. and upon the
presentation of corsages to the
guest of honor,, her mother, .and
Mrs. Wild, of Wingham', moth-
er of the groom -elect, the la-
dies were seated -in decorated
chairs.
A "balloon" contest and a
"bridal wedding story" contest
were conducted by Louise Ed -
gar. Following these, gifts
were presented to Gail, accom-
panied• by the good wishes• of all
for which Gail fittingly express-
ed her appreciation. She was
assisted in the unwrappingof the
gifts by her mother, Mrs. Wild
and a friend, ,Mrs. Elaine Lis-
ton," of Hamilton.
The guests were invited to
view the gifts, which were on
display, and refreshments were
served.
