FRUITS FOR BABY
Apple Sauce is a good fruit
for baby to start with. If you
are making it or any other stew
ed fruit, . do not use fnuch sugar
The only raw fruit which is ad-
vised for small babies is ripe
bananas, mashed soft with a
fork. About thee tablespoons
of fruit makes a good serving.
Work up to this quantity gradu-

Landers
Dear Ann Landers: My hus-
band
is an assistant manager
in a drugstore. A certain phar-
macist
harmacist in the store. (t'll mown)
'am) has been diagnosing ill-
nesses and dispensing drugs to
everybody who works in, the
place. Since it is easier and
cheaper than going tai a doctor.
Hiram has been. enjoying a very
large following. He seems to
know what he' is • doing because.
in his words, "The people I
treat get well, which is more
than I can' say for some of
the doctors' in this town."
Yesterday Hiram °gave ' my
husband some medicine for a
cold. It made him dizzy and ner-
vous. I caped !iram and t':ld
him in very plain language that -
he had no husinefis handing
out medicine, He said, "A phar-
macist can legally prescribe for
his family. Since I consider the
people l work with `family'
there is• nothing wrong with
what I arm doing."
Please express your views.—
MOUTH FIGHT.
Dear Fight: Never mind about
MY views. Hems what the .low
says: A pharmacist may not pm
scribo for anyone. He is Ikon -
sod to fill proscriptions ritten
by physicians. w
Hiram is prat-
tieing medicine ithout ...li-
cense and he could be jailed
and fined. Tell him to knock
it off.

Dear Ann. Landers: Ten
months ago my daughter. mar-
ried a stingy, bossy, -obnoxious
man. She earns, almost as much
as he does and . all . the money
goes into one checking account;
• HIS. He writes all the. checks
which I think is an insult. When
my daughter goes to the grocery
store she has to pay with her
husband's check. It makesher
look like a stupid fool.
I. hope and pray I live long
enough to see my daughter de-
mand that . her husband treat
herlike a grown woman in-
