Belgrave native
dies' in West
John D'Arcy Gallagher, 85,'
died at his home in Kindersley,
Sask. , on November 19. Fun-
eral service was held at the
Brethren in Christ Church, con-
ducted by Rev. Arthur Heise.
Burial was in Kindersley Cem-
etery.
He was born in Belgrave on
August 5, 1883. On January 4,
1911 he married `Eva Nethery at
Belgrave.
In earlier years Mr. Galla-
gher had been a member of the
Orange Lodge. He had been
superintendent of the Sunday
School and had always taken a
keen interest in missionary work
in his church. Mr. Gallagher
had been a farmer until he re-
tired to Kindersley in 1950. He. .
had served on the school board
and the board of directors for
the Rural Telephone Company.
Surviving besides his wife
are four sons and two daughters,
Alvin of Kitchener, Glenn of
Clive, Alta. , Jim of Galt, and
Terry of Cremona, Alta. , Mrs.
John (Margaret) Knox- of Kin-
dersley and Mrs. Sid (Dorothy)
McCoirnell of Netherhill, Sask.
He is also survived by a
brother Ted of White Rock, B.C.
and sisters, Iona of Moose Jaw,
Annie and Kate of Victoria.
Guice and Mrs. Pugh are sisters.
