Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stone -
house of Toronto, amid a set-
ting of lighted candelabra and
garden flowers at the home of
the bride's parents. Rev. C. F.
Johnson, (gingham, officiated
at the double -ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her parents, chose an after-
noon dress.,oi white rose -sculp-
tured Venetian lace with low-
cut back and a full-length or-
ganza bow. Her cathedral veil
cascaded, from a petalled lily -
of -the -valley headpiece featur-
ing gear -drop pearls. She car-
ried a cascade arrangement of
white English roses and fern.
The maid of honor, Miss
Julia Thornton, 'Toronto, sister
of the bride, wore white Span-
ish lace patterened over crystal
blue silk, with matching head-
dress. She carried a nosegay of
pink Sweetheart roses and white
carnations.
Groomsman was Larry Nar-
decchia of Chatham, Ne w
Brunswick.
Traditional wedding music
was played by Mrs. Nora Mof-
fatt. Miss Cindy Thornton, sis-
ter of the bride sang " Wedding
Prayer" and "0 Perfect Love".
Receiving the guests at a re-
ception on the lawn, the bride's
mother wore a two-piece dress
of apricot silk shantung with a
corsage of yellow tea roses.
The groom's mother chose a
fuschia pink dress of cordo silk .

Club met last Wednesday morn-
ing at the home of the'le,er,
Mrs. Dave King. All members
were present. The president, -
Brenda King, conducted -the
opening exercises and Darlene
Simpson read the minutes. The
roll call was, "One vegetable I
have served since the last meet-
ing and how it was served".
The discussion centred on the
place of vegetables in m e a 1
planning and tossed salads. As
fa group project they prepared
the meal cooking beans, pota-
toes and carrots. A tossed- salad
wasalso made. Pamela King
made lemon pie for dessert. The
girls enjoyed the meat they had
prepared.
The Bruce County home
economist inspected the garden
plots of Ruth Elliott, Brenda and
Pamela King and Darlene Simp-
son on Friday.
