First game was against Clinton and the score was North Huron 1, Clinton 0. They won the second game 2-0 over Middlesex County and the final game was against Sea- forth ea-forth giving North Huron a win 5-0. This put North Huron on top as champions of the tourna- ment„ North Huron"members who played were Donald Procter, Robert Higgins, Brian Hopper, Larry Nethery, Ivan Wheeler, Larry Elliott, Wayne Hopper, Rae Mathers, Frank Procter, Murray Hoover and Keith Van Camp. Firemen meet The Wingham Fire Depart- ment met at the fire hall on Monday evening, Capt. Don Copple of the Salvation Army addressed the' group and asked for the usual assistance in the Red Shield Campaign. It was agreed unanimously to support the drive. On Monday, April 8 half of the brigade will make a fam- iliarization tour of the Wing - ham and District Hospital while the other half stays at the fire hall. Bantams played in Blyth Monday night winning over Blyth by a score of 14-8. On Saturday at the Brussels Minor Hockey tourna- ment, the Belgrave bantams won the championship honors 'in the Bantam group. They tied their first game against Monkton 5-5 and won in the final game against Brussels 5-2, Belgrave Squirts played Mildmay Wednesday night in - an exhibition match losing by 2-1. The Squirts won in an ex- hibition game against Blyth' Thursday afternoon 5-2. This team also entered the Squirt Tournament held in Mildmay on Saturday ' winning two game4 both ba a score of 10-0, First . game was against Creemore and the second' against Wrox- eter. . Belgrave Tykes played an exhibition game Wednesday night in Mildmay with a score of 5-2 in favor of Mildmay. They also captured the champ- ionship on Saturday in the Brus- sels Minor Hockey Tournament by winning two games. First. game was Friday night with Brussels, Belgrave winning 6-0; the second 'game on Saturday was against Wroxeter, Belgrave taking it 6-1. Institute holds dessert euchre BELCRAVE-- The Belgrave. Women's Institute held a very successful dessert euchre on Monday afternoon of last week in the community rooms. Twenty two tables were in play. The winners were; High lady, Mrs. Mark Armstrong; high man. Mrs. Jack King (playing as a man); low lady, Mrs. Mel Craig; low man, Mark Arm • - strong.
