After the below zero temp
' '' nature of last week, during
the week -end winters worst
struck when on Sunday we had.
rain which froze, making driv-
ing hazardous. To cap' it all
during Sunday night, winds,
accompanied by snow, whip-
ped into drifts and along with
icy sections made driving very
dangerous s6 that many schools
were cancelled for Monday.
In a few c.ases the buses operat-
ed on highways which had been
sanded.
Mr. Russel Ross, a member..
of the Kinloss School Board,
acCOmpanied the other mem-
bers to Toronto and' Guelph on
Thursday where they viewed
the set up of mobile school
classrooms, which they hoped
would be an answer to accom-
modation tor some of the grades
until the end of June.,
Mr. and Mrs. GarnerFacrier
were in Torofltobursday and
Friday .attending the Furniture

6 chicken legs and thighs 4 tbsps. tomato paste
2 tbsps. salad ,oil 1 tomato, diced
14 cup instant minced 1 tap. parsley flakes
onion ' tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. inst. minced garlic ' 34 tsp, salt
% cup red wine 1/16 tsp. black pepper
Stock or water as needed
Saute chicken in hot oil. Drain excess oil from pan.
Meantime, blend onion end garlic with 3 tbsps. water; let
stand 8 mins. Pour" wine over chick6n; cook, Uncovered,'
over low heat until wine has evaporated, bout 15 mins.
Mix tomato paste with 1 cup water; ,Add onion-gar1Ie'and
remaining .ingredients to chicken. Continue cooking, un-
covered, over tow heat 15 ming. or until chicken is tender.
-Acid stock or water as needed:: ,(S uee should be very
think). Yield: 6 servings.
