Parents and teachers rrieet at school

at the public school on
Tuesday evening and
Wednesday afternoon.
We would like to thank
the parents who took time
to come up t� the school
and discuss the progress
of their child with their
child's teacher.
On Wednesday mor-
ning the staff of the
Vanastra Public School
were guests of the Clinton
Public School staff and
viewed a Professional
Development film.
This Friday morning
Constable Gosse from the
Ontario Provincial Police
will be conducting a
presentation on van-
dalism from 9:30 to 10:30
Community news
This Friday evening is
the annual Christmas,
dance to be held at the
Vanastra Recreation
Centre
On Saturday they will
be entering their float in
the .Goderich Santa Claus
parade and next Satur-
day, Dec. 6 they will' enter
their float in the Clinton
Santa parade. Anyone
interested in playing
pick-up, non -contact
hockey when ice time is
available, please contact

Christian Church
The church had a table
in the Christmas bazaar
on Sat., Nov. 22 and
raised about $100 towards
kitchen material. Thank
you to all the ladies who
helped.
Sunday school at-
tendance is' up, with 21
children attending last
Sunday. Keep up the good
work. Preparations are.
being made for a
Christmas Eve service
which will ._include :the
Sunday School 'arid- the
Come Alive Club.
Two more films "Focus
on the Family" are
scheduled for showing.
The next one is for
Wednesday, November 26
with the last one on
Wednesday, December 6.
These films are shown in
the auditorium of the
Christian School in
Clinton and are on
marital relationships.

their enrolment and fly -
up ceremony set for Dec.

The costume contest
was held on Tuesday

our older pupils worked

concert is being planned

planning to have our

Cubs
Last week the Cubs
took a tour of the
Goderich OPP station
where they were finger-
printed, shown cells and
learned how radio
equipment is used. The
tour, was conducted by
Constable Goss., Thank
you to Clean Goulding for
helping withthe tran-
sportation to the station.
This week the boys saw
a film "Yellowstone
Cubs" and Scott Linton
also received his house
orderly badge.

Christmas break. •
The trampoline club
started two weeks ago
and the young people in
this club will meet for the
month of November and
part of December until
the trampoline is
returned to the Wingham
school.
Volleyball has started
with Mrs. Melick working
with the Vanastra girls
who are interested in this
sport.
Nursery School
Little six -week-old
Timmy Embling won•the
draw for the clock radio
held at the Christmas
bazaar and Stacey Flyn
won the doll and doll
clothes.
The nursery schod'1 sold
hot dogs and pop and
made $160 for their school
trip in June.
