No.. 4 Community Club, held at the home of Milena Lobb. The minutes read by Reba Lobb and the treasurer'S report was given by Linda Jones. Rollcall was answered by the 13 members with "something you are making for someone for Christmas", Harriett Tyndall will host the December meeting on'Deceniber 3rd in theme ��afternoon. The tow -n-lade t e Mn • ��-�.�-��tla-n ladies, Connie Vanloo and Marty' Lobb are in'charge of the program and 16th ladies will provide lunch. There' will be the usual exchange of Christmas gifts worth $2. Don't forget th,e children if they are present. Following the losing of the meeting, the mem- bers learned some stit- ches they are required to know as- part of the crewel embroidery course. A very successful auction sale was held with Phyllis Thompson as auctioneer. Lunch was served with Linda Jones, and Faye Oakes assisting the hostess. The Irvine Tebbutt family gathered for dinner at Irvine' and Edith's on Saturday when Gordon Tebbutt was --home—from Calgary-. Present were Jack, Norene and Gary; Wayne,. Lois and Fraser; Marilyn, Bob and family. Several from• the community attended the reception for George and Carol Thompson. The new hall seemed to meet with the approval of the people present. It is a real asset to our township, and one would hope that people will use it and appreciate the donation made by John and Pearl Woon. The R.E. Thompson family were all home for the weekend. Susan Lobb spent the weekend with her`family. Fier friend Bev joined them for the Grey Cup party on Sunday. Summerhill ladies meet The Summerhill Ladies Club will be holding their first card party of the season tonight Thursday, November 27. The party will be held at the Summerhill Hall" begininning at 8:30 pm. It was also decided at the club's November 12 meeting that Lorna Ellis and Sandra Westerhout would volunteer to do the telephoning for the mystery parties that the club holds each year. Gladys Van Egmond opened the monthly m nettng h .lie-r-eadi which was held at the home of Joanne Salverda and 19 members were present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and the treasurer's report was given by Jean Vodden. A thank -you note was received from Dorothy, and Adrian Salverda. Sharon Ellis was paid for cutting the grass at the hall for the season. The group members brought articles for an sale and these were auctioned off by Mrs. Westerhout, who made a very capable auctioneer. The anniversary money was collected and the raffle was won by Mrs. Van Egmond. The program consisted on two readings given by • Margaret Wright and a contest was won by Marianne Colclough. The next meeting will be held at the home of Isabel Stewart on December 3 at 2:30 pm and members are asked to notice the date change of the meeting.
