Nominating committee report was brought in by Helen McLean. It was decided to pack 12 shut in boxes to be ready by the, firs,t week in December. 'Myra Lovell and Ann Marie McMullen will pack the boxes. Candy bags will be packed for the Christmas Concert by Marg Consitt, Susie Faber, Mabel. Kyle, Ida Dickert. An invitation to Exeter United Church bazaar on Novembefr 15 was received. Frances Kinsman and Susie ' Faber gave the report of the regional rally held at Greenway and the offering was taken by Marg Consitt and dedicated by Frances Kinsman. Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs. Harold Jones. Lunch was served by Marg Consitt and Susie Faber. Anne Klungel arranged a shower for Doreen Van Wieren on November 4. Guests were present --from Auburn, Clinton, Thamesford, Zurich, Hensall and Kippen. Beautiful gifts were presented to Doreen who will be married on November 21. From Hensall Legion Auxiliary The Hensall Legion Auxiliary met on Tuesday evening with the president, Mrs. Beatrice Uyl presiding. The Children's Christmas party wilt - -be-- held on December 14. Plans were made for Christmas gifts for members and veterans at Westminster Hospital. The money roll will be featured again this year. Plans were made to cater to weddings in the future and the members will have an exchange of Christmas gifts at their next meeting. Attends reunion Harry Horton attended a Veterans' Reunion held at the Royal Military Institute, University Avenue, Toronto on Saturday, November 8 for the Canadian Core Cyclists Battalion. The association was formed --from veterans all -ever Canada from the 1914- 1918 war. Harry was a member of a group of 30 who joined in London, of which there are only two remaining. , There `Was a joyous visiting of Comrades. Harry was invited to recite "In Flanders' Fields" in loving memory of his commanding of- ficer who had passed away during the past year. Dr. J. C. Goddard accompanied Harry to Toronto and was a guest at the reunion.and dinner. Mrs. Nan Britton and Rev. Stan McDonald attended the Huron..Perth Ministerial dinner and evening at Auburn on Thursday evening.
