CHERRY LOAF
Butter s ixe.of an egg
1 cup brown Sugar
1 egg
Pinch of salt
Cherry Juice
Milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
11/2 cups flour
2 tease, baking powder
Cream butter and sugar, add egg and salt.
Pour juice from small bottle of red Maraschino
Cherries in a cup, add' milk to make 1 cup liquid,;
Add this to creamed butter and sugar mixture.
Cut up cherries and mix these and coped
walnuts inflour and baking powder mixture.
Then add to first mixture.
Bake in a greased loaf pan in 350 degree oven.

RAISIN BREAD
Sift together: .
2 cups flour (measure accurately)
1/2 cup white sugar
3tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Add
1/ cup Crisco oil
2eggs
11/4 cups milk
Do not overmix. Mix just until all dry
ingredients are blended with liquids.
Add 2 cups raisins.
Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for
approximately 50 minutes until top is lightly
browned. Test for doneness in middle of loaf with
toothpick. Total time of baking may vary with'

edges with knife. Leave 15 minutes and loaf will
remove easily frompan.
Note: Freezes well. Quick and easy to prepare.
Delicious served warm with butter or cheese
slices or jam or jelly.

. CINNAMON TEA BISCUITS
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup margarine

11/2 cups milk
Beat egg and milk together and pour over
ether ingredients. Stir until blended. Roll flat
with rolling pin. Butter it and sprinkle on brown
sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and slice. Bake at
375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

RICH HOT BISCUITS
3tsp. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. lard or shortening
two-thirds cup milk
2cups flour
4 tsps. baking powder
Mix and drop by spoon.
Bake in hot oven 10 - 12
Yield: about 11/2 doz.
