Henry his third winning
drive of the day, when the
five-year-old pacing
gelding by Castle Lee was
under the wire first in
2:06.2.
An unfortunate ac-
cident marred the final
race of the afternoon and
as a result driver Jim
Wallace of Crediton
ended up in the hospital.
He was driving Jodie Bay
for Alfred Grummett of
Stratford on the final turn
opposite ,the entrance to
the barns when up on the
outside of leading pacer

co -favorite, but exactor
betting on the horse was
slim . Exactor betting was
heavy on the 3 -and -5
combination of Ideal
Pleasure andDwye.
The federal depart-
ment of agriculture was
asked to check betting
patterns and "noticed
there was some irregular
letting patterins."
Stranak pleaded guilty
to charges of leaving the
paddock area before the
race to wager on the
event and of not reporting
to the judges the ap-
proach made by Hardy.
Decisions on the
various charges have
been reserved.
