And while on the topic
of overseas visitors, I
heard a little story
concerning a pick-up at
the air ,ort. Apparently
one ofour eeme
members went to Toronto
to meets some relatives
and even managed to
arrive an hour ahead of
time. After watching
several plane loads of
passengers arrive (minus
the expected couple), he
decided to call home and
check up on the arrival
times, etc. Yup, you
guessed it. While our
erstwhile member 'was
eagerly awaiting his
guests in one terminal,
they were' coiling their
heels in the other, won-
dering just where he was.
All ,you ex -servicemen
out there will recognize
what happened when I
describe the operation
with the military ex-
pression "SNAFU".
Monday night is the
first general meeting of
the season so mark that
on your calendar. We
expect a good turnout and
hope you will be part of it.
Remember, an
organization like thisonly
exists on the strength of
its membership, so let's
pull together for a good
year.
