Inn in Midland, Mich. last
week,
Mack Webster and
other members of the
Huron- Cattlemen's
Association were in
Omaha lastweek, where
they toured the Omaha
Stockyards, the John
Deere factory, and
several feedlots in that
area. Mack noted that it
took them considerably
longer to get out of the
airport at Chicago than to
reach their destination,
Toronto, once they were
airborne.
Although there was a
large •crowd At Bayfield
Fair, the only Varna
entries in the parade this
Year were Darxyn and
Krista • McAih. Dalrryn
won third to ' the
decorated bicycle 'class
and Krista was fourth -for
costutne in Kindergarten
to grade two.
Varna United Church
will celebrate its an
niversary on Sept. 21 at 11
a.m. -- more details next
week. Visitors will see
fresh paint on the walls
and a lovely polished pine
floor.
Next weekend; Sept,

holding a Slo-pitch
Tournament in the
Stanley ball park at
Varna. The refreshment
