Mabel and Ross Middleton have returned frqm a'week's vacation at Sa , It Ste. Marie were they visited with Elsie St. Jacques and Alvin Suindstrom: Holiday visitors with Ross .and. Conservation area receives $156,810 grant A $156,810 Ontario grant will assist the Ausable-Bayfield Con- servation Authority to undertake : ",fu'rther development and resource management at the Parkhill Conservation Area. Developed in conjunction with the Parkhill Dam and Reservoir, this 985 hectare (2,435 acre) conservation area offers a full range of outdoor activities including swimming, boating, camping, picnicking and hiking. In announcing technical approval of the grant, Natural Resources Minister James Auld said that future projects will correspond to an ap- proved master plan for the area, and include such developments as, an interpretive centre, a campground, shoreline protection, forest and wildlife management and the acquisition of ad- j.acent natural areas. Work will extend over a 15 to 20 year period and cost a total of $297,400. This amount, which in- - cludes the authority's share of the costs, is still subject to annual budget approvals.
