This week we received a list of winners from all over Ontario and are pleased to report the following second prizes going to Clinton, Bayfield and Auburn. Ian Siertsema, Bayfield; Pamela osereitr. It was a busy day again at the Clinton Lawn Bowling Club en Sunday, August 31 when the ladies. club held their last mixed pairs tournament for this season with a good at- tendance and the greens filled. The greens. were in good condition but , the weather was a little on the dull side, however, the game went on in great style. The . tournament winners were Mr. and Mrs. Mel Brady from Seaforth with.,second prize . go -mg ----.117 -Waiter— Newcombe. and Jean Gray of the Clinton -Club: Third prize was won by Cliff Ashton of Clinton and Rose Wilkes from Bayfield. Dave Colclough of Clinton and Lois Haines of Auburn came in for fourth prize while fifth prize which was a con- solation was won by Frank Cummings and Iva Boyes of Clinton. Make A Boat That Moves Make a boat and watch it zoom! The following instruc- tions are for a simple boat -jazz it up with things you find around the house. To make a moving boat you need: 5 popsicle sticks string an elastic band waterproof glue or tape scissors Directions: 1. Glue or tape four popsicle sticks together to make a boat. 2. Cut one popsicle opsicle stick in half to make a paddle. 3. Put an elastic band around the stern (back end) of the boat. 4. Slip the paddle between the elastic band. 5. Tie string on either side of the paddleto t eep i rom- slippingg out. 0. Windup the paddle by turning it away from the boat. 7. Hold the paddle so it doesn't unwind. Clinton Police issued a number of charges in- volving liquor during the month of July and those fined for operating a motor vehicle while in the possession with open liquor included: David Mason, Blyth; Wayne Parkinson, Seaforth; Earl • Flynn, RR 4, Clinton; Randy Castle,, London; Steven John- ston, RR 2, Goderich; Daniel Proctor, Clinton; Dennis Fothergill, Londesboro and Wayne Ducharme, Clinton on two charges. Each charge resulted in $38 fines. • Resulting from July 19 charges, Ronald Mitchell of Goderich was fined $213. for not having a valid driver's licence and another $28 fine for not having a licence plate. Timothy Proctor of Clinton was fined $28 for charge of failing to stop at a traffic sign. Randy Castle of London was fined for a similar charge and Jeffrey J. ,Fuller of Eketer was fined .for a July 11 charge of failing to stop. Keith McLean was fined $28 for a July 24 S;jldl�c uremaining on a licenced premises and Terry Pierce of Blyth was fined $38 for having open liquor in a licenced premises. Paul Denis Meriam of Goderich was fined $28 for being under age in a bar and Richard Pinsonnealt of Goderich was ' fined in a similar charge. For a charge of con- suming liquor under the age of 19, Paul Stephenson of Kitchener was -fined $28. Fines of $28 were also given to a number of youths who were found guilty of charges of having liquor under the age to 19 and included: Catherine McGee, Goderich; Anthony Gibbings, RR 4, Clinton; Michael A.
