It was a busy day again
at the Clinton Lawn
Bowling Club en Sunday,
August 31 when the ladies.
club held their last mixed
pairs tournament for this
season with a good at-
tendance and the greens
filled.
The greens. were in
good condition but , the
weather was a little on
the dull side, however,
the game went on in great
style.

Make A Boat That Moves
Make a boat and watch it zoom! The following instruc-
tions are for a simple boat -jazz it up with things you find
around the house.
To make a moving boat you need:
5 popsicle sticks
string
an elastic band
waterproof glue or tape
scissors
Directions:
1. Glue or tape four popsicle sticks together to make a
boat.
2. Cut one popsicle opsicle stick in half to make a paddle.
3. Put an elastic band around the stern (back end) of the
boat.
4. Slip the paddle between the elastic band.
5. Tie string on either side of the paddleto t eep i rom-
slippingg out.
0. Windup the paddle by turning it away from the boat.
7. Hold the paddle so it doesn't unwind. Put the boat in.
water and watch it make waves.

for not having a valid
driver's licence and
another $28 fine for not
having a licence plate.
Timothy Proctor of
Clinton was fined $28 for
charge of failing to stop
at a traffic sign. Randy
Castle of London was
fined for a similar charge
and Jeffrey J. ,Fuller of
Eketer was fined .for a
July 11 charge of failing
to stop.
Keith McLean was
fined $28 for a July 24
