Barbara Betties read a poem and Molly Cox, ,accompanied at the piano by Verna Lobb, sang a special hymn. Isobel ' Sturdy- in- troduced Mrs. Talbot and Mrs. Snyder of Bayfield, who showed excellent slides of Egypt, the Holy Land and Greece. The commentary was very interesting and showed whe.re Jesus and his friends lived and travelled. Mrs. Stoner presented Mrs. Tarot with a gift on behalf of the UCW. Mrs. Molly Cox sang a selection and received a gift presented by Mrs. Stoner. Isobel Harris gave a reading. The worship service. in Holmesville United Church was well attended last Sunday. Mr. Oestreicher talked to the children about another apostle until they know the names of the 12 30. Winners were: ladies' high, Cecelia Edgar; ladies' low, Margaret Fremlin; men's high, Bruce McClinchey; men's low, Don Harris; lone hands, Ed Deeves. WI meets The Goderich Township Women's Institute met in the Holmesville Church on April.14 at 2 p.m. with over. 50 ladies present and Hazel McCreath, president, in charge of the meeting. Molly Cox favored the ladies by singing two numbers. Mrs. Jean Lobb in- troduced the guest speaker, David Newlands, who spoke on various kinds of potteries in Ontario and back in the 1800's. He spoke on ,other diggings in the areand showed his slides. The bike-a-thon for Cancer is a great' way to get some fresh air and exercise while at the same time raising money for a good cause, Cancer research. This year's bike-a-thon will com- mence at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 20 from the Suncoast Mall parking lot.
