Auburn residents are
looking, forward to
hearing the Dominion
Life Choir on April 15 in
n:ox United Church,
Auburn ' at 8;30 p.m,' This
choir of around 25 voices
was formed in 1948
simply for fun. It is a
charity fund-raising
group with the Dominion
Life Company supplying
. all the correspondence.
The main objective is to
__.. promote .zoed..w 11.._ -and..
public relations for the
Dominion Life.
Originally, the choir was
formed to entertain the
staff of. Dominion Life
and those who wanted to
listen. The choir travels
within : 'a radius of 100
miles of Kitchener and
has been travelling in
southwestern Ontario for
about 30 years.

is visiting her daughter,
Mrs. June Bolger and
family at Vanastra this

BENJAMIN OLIVER
CALDWELL
Benjamin Oliver
Caldwell, ,formerly' of
Dungannon, died of a
heart attack in Munroe,
Michigan on Friday,
April4 at the age of 67.
He was born in
Dungannon on December
3, 1912 to George McGill
Caldwell and. Rebecca
Charlotte „�,,,apith)
Caldwell. His father .lad
been born in Toronto and
his mother had been born
in Dungannon. Both
parents predeceased
him.
The late Mr. Caldwell
was retired from his
work.
In 1961 he married
Marjorie ,,Hobbs
Baynham in Windsor. She
also predeceasedhim.
He is survived by two
stepchildren, Jack
Baynham of Windsor and
Helen Pettypiece of .La
Salle; three sisters, Miss
Pearl Caldwell and Mrs.
John (Myrtle) Spivak
both of Dungannon and
Mrs. Nelson (Blanche)
Culbert of R.R. 1 Auburn;
and one brother, Bill
Caldwell of Clinton.
He was predeceased by
one sister, Agnes Cald-
well of Dungannon and
one brother, George
Caldwell of Goderich.
A funeral service was
held at the MacKenzie -
McCreath Funeral Home
in Lucknow on Monday,
April 7 at 2 p.m. Mr.
Hubert Lawrence of-
ficiated. Mrs. Thomas
Pritchard was the
organist and music for
the service was provided
by the Mennonite
Quartet.
Interment was in
Dungannon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were.

John Baynham Jr.,
Patrick Pettypiece and
Terrance Pettypiece.

The ,annual meeting of
the Auburn Women's
Institute will be held on
April 15 in the Com-
munity' Memorial Hall
starting with a pot -luck
dinner at noon. The
district president, Mrs.
William Porter of the
Goderich Township
Branch, will be the
special guest. A display
of crafts is to be held and
all conveners are asked
to -bring in their reports.

special service on Good
Friday conducted by the
rector, Reverend William
Craven.

and Sarah Clark were the
candle -girls. Dennis
Schneider was the
lightbearer. After each
verse of Scripture
relating to the death of
Christ read by Mr.
Craven, Dennis
Schneider lit each girl's
candle . in turn. After all
candles were lit, Dennis
extinguished each candle
and shrouded the Altar.
Bible lessons.
Easter lilies and
bouquets of daffodils
adorned the chancel of St.
Mark's' Anglican Church
for the Easter Sunday
service. Easter music
was played by the church
organist, Mrs. Murray
Nesbitt. The Reverend
William Craven, the
rector, gave an inspiring
Easter message assisted
by the . Lay Reader,
James Towe.
