The short program, which is part of a new activity project for the patients included a message from Rev. Good and refrehsments served by members of the hospital auxiliary.. (News -Record photo) • Radars take bus trip At their regular meeting on April 2 in the Town Hall members of the Golden Radar Club made final plans for a bus trip to the Maple Syrup Festival" at Belmore on Thursday April 10, Senior Citizen's Day. All seats are taken and the bus will leave from theTownHall at 9 a.m. Cost of the bus is $2.45 per person and each passenger is asked to:pay his fare at Murphy's garage before Thursday. A letterwas read an- _ 'nouncing the Spring Rally for Zone 8 which will be held in the Hensall United Church Hall on April 30, with registration at 9430 a.m. The fee is $1 per person which in- cludes lunch. A good representation of our members is requested. The Secretary read a letter from Huron Day Care Centre for the Homebound, at Huron - view. The, Centre is sponsoring en- tertainment by Charles Hayter who portrays the poems of Canadian poet, Robert Service. One performance will be given -at the Legion Haw' on Wednesday evening April 30 -at 8 p.rn. ad- vance tickets $2.50 or $3 at the door. A second performance especially for Seniors will be given_ at Huronview Auditorium on Thursday May 1 at 2 p.m. and advance tickets are $1.00. Rosemary Armstrong, co-ordinator of the Day Care Centre offered her services to any interested group to explain the work of the Centre, show Huronview oups active Residents of Huron - view worshipped with both Rev. Wittick and Rev. Darrell on Sunday morning. The ministers were assisted by Mrs. Webster, and Mary Campbell at the 'Com- munion service. The Huronview choir sang a hymn, and Mark Sprout and Cecil Skinner sang the duet, with the choir joining in on the chorus. On Monday afternoon, the Old Tyme Music was held in Normal Care Sitting room with Mrs. Elsie Henderson and Norm Speir entertaining at the piano and violin. The cupcakes that are given to the residents to celebrate their birthdays are made and,distributed by the Craft room, and because the staff is not working on the weekend, they apologize to those residents -whose bir- thdays fall on a weekend and do not receive their cupcake until Monday.
