The theme - of theminister's message was "Were You There?" More than 50 persons gathered at the church at 7:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday morning. They walked to the ' top of the hill where they held their Easter Sunrise Service as the sun shone brightly. This service was con- ducted by the Sunday School. • The call to worship was read by Tammy Smith and Heather Harris. Prayer by Travis Bell followed the hymn "All the Happy . Children". Janine Mayhew read the Scripture and the primary--- and - kin- dergarten classes sang "Easter Gladness". A poem was read by. the following: Tracy Nor- man, orman, Shelley Crawford, Robin. Lobb, Dennis Thompson and Nancy Thompson. Tim Mayhew read the benediction and Jack?& N` rman offered the closing.prayer. All returned to the church where they en- joyed a delicious break- fast of bacon and eggs. The tables were beautifully decorated with daffodils. - The sanctuary of the church looked autiful with the • rnany da ,odils, Easter 1.ili . and pussywillows for the regular service on Easter Sunday. Mr. Oestreicher welcomed all who wor- • shipped and the choir sang two Easter hymns accompanied at the ' organ by Mrs. Verna Lobb. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Tyndall presented their son for baptism and the minister's sermon: "Great themes of the Bible, the invitation to life" to love God and to love one another. Elmer Potter and Bill Crawford received the offering. Enterprising seniors The Enterprising Seniors met in the Holmesville Church on April 3 with John beeves presiding. Irene Cudmore read the minutes of the previous meeting and Fran Powell presented the treasurer's report. Blanche Deeyes gave the sick and card report and Irene Cudmore read the correspondence in-• cluding a letter from the Huron .Day Care Centre for the, Homebound from Rosemary Armstrong inviting the seniors to a show. Charles Hayter in A Taste of Robert Service at the Legion Hall in Clinton on April 30 at 8 p.m. Barry Walters adjourned the meeting. Irene Cudmore gave a reading '`Grandmother Speaks". A contest was played and the winners were Marion Powell and Ed Deeves. Bert McCreath favoured the' group playing his penny whistle and bag pipes while Irene Cudmore and Grace Walter were in charge of.lurich. The Goderich Township and area Enterprising Seniors welcome all Seniors 60 and over to attend a pot luck supper at 7 p.m. in the Holmesville Church on April 17.
