Another busy week for
our Branch last week
commenced with our
Tuesday evening men's
euchre night which is now
at its peak with 14 tables
in action. Obtaining the
high sere was Brian
Reeves with a perfeet
score of 9.0, while low
score went to -Dave Pugh;
with a 49, • and the lone
hand department with a
score of six went to Ken
McDougall.
On Wednesday, thg
men gave the Ladies
Auxiliary a well deserved
break as they took over
the kitchen and catered

Make your own candles
as gifts or table
decorations this
Christmas.
All you need is a half -
gallon cardboard milk
carton, a ten -inch candle,
one arid one-half pounds
of paraffin, three trays of
ice cubes.
Cut the top from the
carton and rinse
thoroughly.
Crack the ice cubes into
medium and large pieces,
drain off any water, and
to the Huronview Day
Staff Christmas Party.
According to all reports
heard so far, it was a
successful -venture for the
men, so a well deserved
thank -you to all the men
who 4showed up with a
helping hand.

helpers hosting the Bingo
players. Winning the $200
Jackpot prize last week
was a threesome of Lynn
Logue and Nellie
Burkholder from Blyth
and Jeannette Huffman
from Bayfield.

that there was an agent in
the audience, so he
decided to perform all of
his best tricks. He began
pulling 200 scarves out of
a hat, then he produced
150 playing cards from
the air, one at a time.
Finally, he threw a
blanket over himself and
disappeared.
The next morning, he
called the agent and
asked, "What do you
think?"
"I'd only make one
change," said the agent.
"That trick where you
vanish. You should do
