Shannon Preszcator went to the front of the S,anetuary and lit the Candle of Faith on the Advent wreath as Rev. Oestreicher talked on this joyous occasion. The theme of Rev. They went by Montreal and Vermont and returned by Buffalo, New York with beautiful weather on their trip. On Sunday, December 2, Ross and Betty Feagan visited with Ruth Talbot and Mary Lyn in Bayfield for the Sunday afternoon in their new home in the village. Last Monday night at the Potze home, a large bird's nest that plugged the chimney sent soot all through the home, . in- stead of out the chimney. Irene Ott and Grace De Putter organized a cleaning bee of 25 women, and cleaned up the entire home. When the job was finished, the ladies en- joyed a few minutes for a cup of coffee. Goderich township recreation group, chaired by Doug Yeo, met during the past week to make definite plans for recreation this winter at the Bayfield arena. To begin with, a learn - to -curl fun night is planned for Monday, December 17, 7-9 p.m. at Bayfield arena. All persons of any age are welcome to come and see for themselves just what this "curling" (of which his neighbour con- tinually talks) is all about. If enough people • are interested in furthering this, an amateur curling group may be formed. Once again, Bill Steenstra has kindly consented to organize a young peoples ,' hockey league for Saturdays, tentatively beginning San. 5, 1-2 p.m. and running until the end. of March.
