Tuesday evening inen's euchre is increasing in popularity with 11 tables in action. Obtaining the high score for the evening. -was Graham Yeats with an 86 out of a possible 90. Low score was obtained by .Bill Jenkins with a 50 score. The most lone hands this week went to Joe Corey with four. It was a four way tie for lone hands, but Joe won the draw. Wednesday was another full day for our branch auditorium, as we donated the auditorium facilities to Zone 8 of the Ontario Senior Citizens Organization who had 118 members assembled for the rally which com- menced at 9 a.m. and carried through to 5 p.m. The service was greatly appreciated by the Zone 8 president and his executive. George Rumball was the hard worker for our. Branch at this one, BAZAAR Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the CLINTON LEGION HALL Donations of baked goods, knitted and crocheted articles, or other handicrafts would be appreciated, and should be brought to the Hall by 1:00 p.m. dayof bazaar. Friday was a "whirlwind". day for our' Branch with TGIF in''ohr lower lounges and the Huronview Party in our auditorium. The TGIF was again successful with Vera Colquhoun winning the TGIF raffle prize. The attendance draw remains intact, as John McKay had failed to register for the draw. The Huronview banquet and dance was a tremendous. success with our Ladies' Auxiliary again providing a delightful dinner. Many .thanks to wine hosts Milt Schreiber, Wilf Castle and Neil Elliott, and also to the har staff of Comrade Bill Cox and wife Carol, thanks also to ticket sellers Comrades Cliff and Martha Parker and Oscar and Vera Priestap. 4, Saturday evening was eucn: e another, busy evening for our auditorium with the Country Singles Cl,ub in. action. It was again a, busy dance floor with 180 singles guests in at- tendance. Our thanks to the bartenders Milt and Mabel Schrieber, Alice 13rochu and Cliff Parker. A hearty lunch was en- ' Toyed by all who were present, thanks to the three organizers and founders of the Club, Irene Okahashi, Vicki Harbaniuk and Betty Cnrdno. My thanks to Ron Gonie for all the custodial assistance on Friday and Saturday, as without his help, the auditorium would not have been presentable for the weekend of activities. While the bar and auditorium were silent for the Sunday day of rest, our members were on the move. First, our Ladies' Auxiliary sponsored "4 bus trip to the taping of the Polka Time show production featuring Walter Osternak last Sunday morning. They must have enjoyed the day as they went through two tapings of the show. Four of the attenders were associate members, and our color party was also there. At our general mem- bership meeting on Monday evening past, our, members voted in favor of donations of our funds which have been raised through our associate members enterprises to organizations in our Clinton area: to the Early Child Education Care Centre, $100; to our Clinton Minor Hockey Association, $250; and to our Youth Bowling Club $100. You perhaps noticed last week's Legion News was cut short due mainly_ to the shortage of space in the paper, but for all who are concerned, it.too was a busy week with an article as crammed full as this one.
