doing". He went on to
explain that in the time
allotted him, he couldn't
tell all.the activities of the
church. He said 75 per-
cent of their income is
spent in Canada.
Prior to his talk, he
spoke to the children
about people in the Bible
whose names started
with the letter "E" - Eve,
Eilija, etc. Misses Lisa

day. On this day,
Holmesville School is
hosting the other schools
in the Western Region.
Dr. Ed Pino will be guest
speaker at the P.D. Day.
He will speak on
-discipline strategies,

from the Huron County
Health Unit telephones
the school for a survey of
the number of pupils
absent with colds, flu,

Wednesday, October 24
is set aside in recognition
of the International Year
of the Child. On this day,
there will be special
programs about young
people, the future, and
the developing countries
of the .world.
Cross Country: On
Tuesday, October 23
(raindate 06tober 24) 40
pupils from the school
were to have travelled to
Hullett Conservation
area to compete against
seven other schools in
Cross Country but it was
rained out. The other
schools are: Seaforth,
Blyth, Clinton, Hullett,
Huron Centennial, Calvin
Christian and Vanastra.
This will be an all day
event. It has been
rescheduled for Tues.,
Oct. 30.
Women's Institute
The Goderich Township
Women's Institute is
sponsoring an Indoor
Gardening course of
three days to be held in
'the Holmesville Church.
Tentative dates are Nov.
5, 8 and 12. For par-
ticulars, read the coming
events in our local
newspaper.
