Other top finishers
from CHSS included

Area. Good Luck Team!
Against Wingham, they
dropped the first game 9 -
15, but came back to
decisively beat them 15-
4. In the second match
they started by beating
St. Marys 15 - 12 before
losing the second 8 - 15.
In a hard fought set
with Listowel, the Juniors
were defeated 11 - 15, but
were victorious in . the
next game, winning 16 -
14. After this tournament
thp Juniors had 11 points
which is not far behind
the leaders, but they
should pick up more
points in the tournament
at Norwell on Tuesday 16
because most other
teams have already
played 4 tournaments,
while Clinton has only
played 3.
Senior Boys Volleyball
By Jeff Schmidt
Our Senior team
travelled to Listowel for a
tournament last ThUr-
sday, and, despite a
supreme effort, was
badly beaten.
In the first set against
Wingham, the squad lost
two close games 11 - 15,
and 10 - 15. In the second
match, the Senior Red -
men managed to salvage
the first game, but split
the pair for a loss in the
second to St. Marys: 15 -
10 win, and a 5 - 15 loss. A
strong Listowel team
took the team 15 - 9, 15 - 4.
The Seniors will have a
chance to better their
record at the tournament
on Tuesday the 16th.
' Junior Girls Basketball
On Wednesday,
October 10, the Junior

knows that the coun-
terfeit coin is heavier
than the other legitimate
coins.
The only instrument
that the inspector has to
determine the relative
weights of the coins is a
balance. The inspector
must balance the coins to
search for the bad coin.
You must find out the
fewest number of moves
required to determine the
counterfeit currency.
We'll leave you with
that unanswered until
next week. -

Last week, you had to

Possible solutions to the

Because the area which
the school serves is so
widespread, it is -difficult
for some girls to stay for
practice, and for this
reason they don't even
try out for the team. This
limits the group from
which a team can be
chosen.
Our next home game is
on Wednesday October

Northwestern. We hope
the student body will
come out to cheer us on to

PROCLAMATION
Christopher Columbus' groat voyoage to the new world
in 1492 required. vision, courage and determination. His
discovery changed the course et world events. His
name is deservedly honored in 1110torY.
Columbus ventured into uncharted wimp, disregarding
the advice; of supposedly 'learned mon, because h. had
faith In God, faith in his own convictions, and faith in
his capabilities as a navigator. His spirit was un-
conquerable. He persevered In the face of over-
whelming difficulties.
It Is fitting that North America annually renders
tribute to the memory of the famed Genoese explorer
on the anniversary of this historic voyage.
I hereby designate In accordance with this tradition,
Sunday, October 21, 1979 as Columbus Day.
1 urge our citizens to observe this day In a manner that
will dramatize and restate the fundamental principles
of faith, wisdom and courage which guided the foot-
steps of the Great Discoverer.
