(News -Record photo) The weekly sports scene Junior Girls Basketball by Denise Corbett The Junior Girls played on Friday night in Wingham against F.E. Madill. They played a tough game and were rewarded with a 14-13 victory over Madill. The winning basket was scored by Doris Lawson during the last minute of the game. The team went on to play on Saturday against Stratford North Western. The game was hard and well fought although the Juniors were defeated by Stratford with a score of 34-12. On Monday the team travelled to Goderich for a game against the Vikings. It was a physically aggressive game and although Juniors played ex- cellently, they were defeated .3.149..• Chris 'Carter was high scorer • with 1.1 points. Sr. Girls Basketball By Jeanette Dutot Last Friday the Senior girls basketball team took part in the Wingham Invitational Basketball Tournament. In the first game Clinton met Exeter in a fairly evenly matched game yet Exeter came. out on top by a score of 29- .12. On Saturday the team returned to Wingham for a 12:30 game against Listowel. At the end of the first half the score was tied at 10 all. ;Late in the second half, however, Clinton was plagued by fouls and Listowel won the game 25-18. On October 1 the squad travelled to Goderich to play the aggressive Vikings. Clinton played well defensively but lost.
