around have been here
and there on holidays
enjoying the scenery and:
Warm weather.
Terry ,and rArge`n'a
Pearson and famiq took
off for two weeks in the
•Healey Lake district. The
Ralph Feltz family went
also.
Wayne and Lois .Teb-
butt have gotten away for
a weekend visiting • with
friends in Kitchener.
Jack Tebbutt, Murray
and Marlene Forbes took
the Beef Producers' Tour
through the Chatham
area.
411Len, Tom and Ernie
Lobb travelled to Texas
recently. The return trip
took them through
Denver, Colorado. The
crops are pretty .good in
this part of the country.
Jim and 'Shirley
Com-merfor. d and, girls of
Angus, near Camp
Borden visited with the
Don Forbes family over
the July 15 weekend. The
girls returned home with
Don and 'Marilyn and
girls on the Monday. The
16th was Jim and
Shirley's 25th wedding
anniversary and Don's
birthday. ..•
Don and Alisop Lobb
took- a tripe the ..east
'coast, travelling through
Quel ec City to" -"Prince
Edward Island, -along the
Cabot Trail to Louisburg
and Peggy's Cove . in
• Nova Scotia, • took the
ferry to St. John's, then
into' Maine before they
headed for home.,While
they were away, aurie
and Sandra stayed with
Marie. and Alf in Oshawa
and Robin stayed with his
grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Allen in
Toronto.
Don ; f and Marilyn
Forbes and Lisa and Lori
spent three days
holidaying at
Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Last week wlas
"Orientation • lay" for
Sylvia Forbes -for college
this fall so Murray,
Marlene, Sylvia and Barb
spent a couple of days
holidaying in the Sarnia
area.
Barb Forbes, Brad
Forbes and David Lobb
are at camp at
Menesetung this week.
Valerie Lobb- spent a
week holidaying with her
cousin, Robin Cuyler
near Ripley.
Tom, Katherine and
Dana Archibald of Lin-
dsay were visiting with
the Murray Forbes
family on the weekend.
Dave, Madeline,
Adrienne, Peter and
Heather Bartlett headed
through northern Ontario
4 via Toberrnory, crossing
'Georgian Bay on the Chi
Chee Maun. They took the
Lake Superior route to
Thunder Bay. The bugs
took the fun out of
carnp'rng. They headed
home by Highway 11
through Cochrane,
stopping in Toronto
where they spent a day at
the zoo.
Alvin, Linda, Lana and
•David Jones spent a few days sight-seeing. They
crossed the border into
the USA at Port- Huron
and ' stopped at,
Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Then they headed north
to' Mackinaw City,
Mackinac Island crossing
into Canada -at Sault Ste.
Marie. ..They_.catn a -.home..
through Sudbury arid
along Georgian 'Bay
enjoying the scenery
along the way.
The 33rd Lobb Reunion
was held July 8th at the
farm of Don and- Alison
l: obb.' About 100 family
members gathered for an
afternoon of visiting and
fun before they -sat -down
to a smorgasbord meal
about 5.
The annual community
picnic will be held at the
Goderich Towt}sh'ip Park
at Black's Point on
August 12. Bring your
food and drinks, plates
ak d cutlery for the meal
which will 'be eaten at
12:30. 11 you really want
to take it easy bring a
lawn chair too. •
