Feeney A well•kno-wn and highly respected Clinton man, Torn Feeney, died in. Vietoria Hospital, London on July 13 after '‘an illness of . only three weeks. He was 52 years old. Mr. Feeney was well 'known in the community for his work with the, Clinton Kinsmen Club. He had held the honorable position of never missing a club meetingin 14..o€the • 21 years, he belonged to the club. He was president .of the Clinton club from 1'9641965 -and. h. he received the Kinsmen • of the Year award in 1961- 62. My, Feeney also served on the Kinsmen .District Executive in 1966.. AloJtg with his volun- teer work with the Kin- smen, Mr. Feeney was also a member of the Knights ' of Columbus, served on the Huron Central Agricultural Fair Board and was a member of St. Joesph's Roman Catholic Church in Clinton. He was stricken ill on the opening day of the Kinsmen . Mrs.-• Mary .Moffatt, Kippen was the organist and at the close of the• ceremony Ed._ . Tufts, sang a solo, Loving Your Thure bride entered the c ch escorted by her father, and her gown was in the princess style, made of silk organza 'trimmed with lace ap- pliques, featuring a sweetheart neckline and falling into a train trimmed with a pleated organza ruffle. The gown was worn over a hoop skirt. Her two-tiered veil• was held in place by a tiara type headdress trimmed with seed pearls: She carried +a cascade silk bouquet of silk sonya roses and lily of the valley. Marge • Turner; Stratford, a friend of the bride was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Karen Mayne, Toronto, Susan Tyndall, • Toronto and Wendy Tyndall, Clinton, sisters of the bride. The girls were all dressed iden- tically in cocktail -length dresses in the melon shade, They wore lacy white; picture hats trimmed with flowers in the same shade as their dresses and white glove's: Their bouquets were nosegays of melon tinted carnations and white daisies. Mr. Feeney was predeceased: by his first wife, the former Jane Bourdeau who died in 1965.„ He is survived • by his 'parents, his second Wife and three children, Beth of. Feeney rested at the Beattie Funeral Home in Clinton, and funeral. . services were held at St. Joseph's Church on July 16 with Father Hardy in charge. Interment followed at the Clinton Cemetery. The pallbearers in- cluded Don McIver, Jack Elder, Allan Finch, Harvey Carter, Bob Gibbings and Mike Gibbings. The flower bearers were Bill Chowen, Frank McCowan, Frank Cook and Tom Kelly.
