oil, as they put on a big "Moonlight
Madness" sale.
It's all happening in Clinton . this
Thursday and Friday, July 12 and 13.
Two big days of bargains and •zany
events downtown.
Most Clinton merchants will be

Along with the extended hours to
allow more shopping time, merchants
will be offering tremendous sales, and
bargains galore, outlined in this twenty -
page special. edition. Clinton merchants
report prices so low they have to, be
seen to be believed!
So come to Clinton - take in the sales,

Madness.

Thursday, July 12 starts off
Moonlight Madness in Clinton. Stores
will be open all day and night,' 'til
midnight, for bargain hunters. By
evening, downtownwill really, come
alive as kids, clowns, bicycles and
tricycles will make their way down
Albert Street.
Children will start Clinton's second
Moonlight Madness activities on
Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
Pre-school aged children •will ride
'along main street in a special Tricycle
Parade, starting in the lot beside Ball &
Mutch Ltd. Horne • Furnishings. Cash
prizes, in the form of silver dollars, will
be given to the best -decorated tricycles.
Also at 7 pm, public school. aged
children will ride along, in a Bicycle
Parade starting in the same location as
the trike parade. Cash prizes, in the
form of silver dollars, will be given to
the best decorated bicycles.

The children will be accompanied by
the famous Shriner's Clowns, Spon-
sored by the, Mocha Shrine Club. The
Shriner's clowns will march along with
the parades, - with free candy and
balloons for everyone'.
To take part in these special parades,
just fill in the entry form, found on the
back page of this edition, and take it
with you to the parade site.
Then,•at$:30 pm? the air in downtown
Clinton will be filled with the sounds of
ukeleles, as the "Ukeleles. Unique"
band and choir perform in the library
park. Under the direction of Doris
McKinley, "Ukeleles Unique" are from
Huron Centennial School in Brucefield.
Just around the -corner on Rattenbury
Street East, the Clinton Lions Club will
hold their "Frolic". Opening at 9 pm on.
both Thursday and Friday night, the
Lions will be holding outdoor Bingo and
various other games of chance.

Special Mo,onlight Madness activities
start at 7:00 pm, with the Children's Teddy
Bear Shirttail Parade, up and down main
street. Both pre-school and public -school
. aged children, dressed in their pajamas
and with their favorite teddy bear or
blanket, will parade up and down main
street, accompanied by special music. The
children will meet and start from the lot
beside Ball & Mutch Ltd. Home Fur-
nishings, on Albert Street. Cash prizes in
the form of silver dollars, will be given to
the best -dressed children, in both pre-
school and public school age categories. To
take part in the Teddy Bear Shirttail
Parade, just fill in the entry form, found on
the back page of this edition, and tae it
with you to the parade site.
Then, make sure you• get.a good spot at
e 8:30 pm to watch the Clinton Bed -Racing
Championships. Teams will battle for the •
n honor of being Bed race champions on
King Street in Clinton, right by the post
office.
The winners of the bed races will receive
a trophy, donated by the :sponsors,t he
Clinton Business Association, as well as
P50 cash, and a large deluxe pizza, com-
liments of John and Joan MacKeigan of
the Pizza Express.
The second and third place finishers will
receive cash prizes of $30 and $20.
Then, at 9:00 downtown, the Clinton
Lions Club Frolic opens again, on Rat-
tenbury Street East.
Also at 9:00 Friday, on the Other side of
the stoplights, enjoy the Clinton Legion
Pipe Band as they play in the Radar Park.
The Clinton Legion Pipe Band was part of
Ontario Massed Pipes • and Drums when.
they prayed. in• the Tournament of Roses
parade in Pasadena, California in 1978. •

As the finale to Clinton's Moonlight •
Madness, - come to the "Summerfest,
.Dance.", . sponsored 'by the 'Clinton Jr. .
Mustangs hockey club, on Saturday, July
14 at the Clinton Community Centre. This
fun -filled" fil fit will feature dancing to
"Star Trex" from 9:00 pm to 1 am.
