The • Bayfield Baptil;t
Church services were
well attended with the -
councillors from Camp
Canby, the Baptist
Fellowship Carnp, just
south of Bayfield, as
guests, who as a group
gave testimonies and
sang.
It is wonderful to see
these •young people
giving their vacation
time to serve the Lord in
these ' camps, where
many children- -get -what
maybe their only chance
to learn, about Jesus, and
to know Him and accept
Him as- their personal
Saviour.
Also bringing ..a
message in song was
Mrs.. Ecker from
Strathroy, who is visiting
her daughter_ Mrs. Les
Shiel,
The Pastor, Rev. Les
Shiel, continued in the
study of the Book of.:
James, now at the 4th
chapter. His theme "Why
do I do what I do?" a
question that is answered
in that chapter, and is
"because I am what I
am", which- proves that;
man sins because he was.
a sinner by birth.
•
After the eyening•
service at the' "Bayfield
Rapti t Church, a
presentation -was made to
newly-weds Rick and
Shirley (nee McFadden)
Riordan at a Fireside in
the Sunday school room
of the church.' The room
was tastefilllydecorated
and the table was cen-
tered with beautiful twin
heart -shaped cakes with
the initials of the bride
and groom " in the—icing
decor, prepared and
decorated •-by Mrs.
Muriel Snider. The lunch
was served buffet style
and a great time of
fellowship was enjoyed
by all.
The gifts and
congratulations `were
presented by Pastor Shier
and Mrs. Ann Chapman,
on behalf of the members
and friends of the church.`
The- groom very ably
expressed their thanks
for the gifts but also for
the love and friendship
the church has given to
