Packaging! Does it
ever get to you? It must
sometimes - or else
you're not a human
housewife. There's so
much to be said in favour
of the package which
keeps the cereals crisper,
the sliced meats fresher

pair of kitchen shears you
might as well give up.
There are certain sealed
packages which you think
a good tug will open.
Well, tug on, and on and

float appetizingly in juice
until the package is cut -
then they swim around on
the kitchen counter in the
same juice unless you're
a quick and tidy package
opener. Untwisting the
heavy wire ties on 10 lbs.
of potatoes can be both
frustrating and time
consuming, especially if
you're not the strong

Well, this gobbledegoob

Suffice to say, it's all
indicative of the style of
advanced, processed
living we have today - we
are a packaged society -
like it or not.
