Gordon The Hullett Township Hazelwood was the' guest Recreation Board was minister on Sunday pleased with the great turnout of people to see their fireworks display held on May 21. Many Hullett Township residents and _people from the surrounding area viewed the evening display The gate receipts were most gratifying and local people will be able to look forward to a bigger and better show next year. Allen Bosman, Harry Tebbutt, Jim Neilans, Bert Shobbrook, Gordon Radford and Jack Snell 'visited with Rev. Snell in Exeter on Sunday af- ternoon and P.D.G.M. Neilans presented Rev. Snell with his 50 year button. After the presentation, a socal time was enjoyed and lunch was served by Mrs. Snell. Rev. Snell's brother Helmer and Don attended the special morning at the Lon- de§boro United Church. The ushers were Bill Jewitt, Brad Lyon, Russell Nesbitt and Kevin Radford. The organist and choir leader was Mrs. Allen Bosman. The junior choir sang two anthems. The junior congregation retired with their teachers, Mrs. Mel Knox and Brenda Miller. The UCW wish to thank everyone for the tremendous support given for the ham supper, which made it another successful event. Many people took advantage of the take out order service offered. Needlepoint summary A large number of ladies from the Lon- desboro community attended the needlepoint summary day held in Clinton high school last Thursday night. Huron home economist Grace Bird welcomed all present and Bea Gosselen presented badges to the leaders • who took the course. The Londesboro leaders were Alice Buchanan and Marjorie Duizer. The guest speaker was Massey Boyd of London. Mrs. Boyd teaches rug hooking and weaving with the London Recreation Board and displayed some of her work. - The speaker was in- troduced by Gail King and thanked by Anona Crozier. Mrs. Ted Forthergill and Mrs. Florence Cartwright attended the UCW Westminister weekend in London on May 25-28. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Hunking enjoyed a bus trip to the Ottawa tulip festival on the May 19th holiday weekend. Several from the community attended the Blyth United Church on Sunday evening to hear the Sellwood Gospel Group's singing program. Mrs. Jim McEwing attended the graduation on Friday of her nephew James Watt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Watt of Goderich. Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in Hamilton. Hullett Happenings Fashion Show On Tuesday, May 22 at 2:20 p.m. a fashion show was held by the Grade 7 and 8 girls. The girls were modelling tops and other outfits made in Home Economics. An Industrial Arts display was presented and -refresh- ments were served af- terwards. A small program was also given.In this program Dawn and Debbie Flynn tap danced, Mary Anderson played the piano and the girls in the band played a tune called Bionic Flea, council Kindergarten On Friday the Kin- dergarten classes took a trip to Pineridge Zoo in Grand Bend. The bus left at 9:30 a.m. and returned at 3:30 'p.m. When the students were at the zoo they saw animals from all over North America, The classes also ate their lunch at the zoo. The trip was enjoyed by all. Fluoride Treatment During the last week the nurses visited our school for a fluoride treatment. Every class received this treatment and also viewed a film. MR. AND MRS.
