Hospital Auxiliary
Hear of conference
The Highlight of the
May' meeting of the
Auxiliary to the Clinton
Public Hospital was a
report presented by Mrs.
Joyce Chilton of Bayfield
of the recent spring
conference of Region II of
the Flospital Auxiliaries
Association held in St.
Marys.
Mrs. Chilton reported
that 11 Clinton members
attended the informative
day session. Each
auxiliary president, for
the roll gall, reported on
rnethods of raising funds
R and how the money was
spent.
A panel, one member of
which was Peggy Men-
zies of Clinton, discussed
the subject, How Do You
See the Future Roll of the
Volunteer? All three
panelists agreed that the
need is greater now than..
ever before. Volunteer
service is necessary and
no•doubt will be needed to
raise funds for buying
equipment and perhaps
even for building.
Mrs. Gerry Van den
Berg reported on the
interesting display of
tray favors prepared by
each auxiliary. Clinton
showed corsages of
crocheted flowers. Mrs.
Van den Berg made
copies of some in-
teresting favors to show
the members the
creativity used in their
preparation.
In the absence of Hon.
William Stewart, because
of illness, Richard Brock
was the quesit speaker. In
his talk, Mr. Brock
emphasized the im-
portance, in the present
economy, to buy
Canadian made goods
and home grown produce
when possible, instead of
imported ones.
