Watt, RR 1, Blyth, received his Bachelor of -Arts degree in Honors Sociology, with first class standing, at McMaster University, Hamilton, on Friday May 25th. Payne Many former members of the congregation gathered at Hensall United Church on Sun- day, May 27, when they celebrated their 131th Anniversary .with their new —ministez`.;."Rev. Stan C. McDonald as preacher. A nearly full church heard a sermon on love as exemplified by David when the water of Samaria teas brought to him. Dr. Ralph Topp was at the organ and the choir sang the anthem, "Bless my Soul" by Ippolitoff- Ivanoff; also "God be my Head." after the Benediction. Floral tributes adorned the sanctuary from thee' wedding of Kevin Buchanan and. , Heather -Dougherty ' and' other arrangements -we in loving memory of William Parsons, placed *ere by his family. "Next Sunday, the Sacrarnent of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated and a special Dedication service will be held on Sunday, June 24 to dedicate the new stained- glass windows. Personals Mr. William T. Dodds, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dodds and Lynne, Paul ' and Joan of Seaforth visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal and attended the Anniversary service in the United Church. Judge Clifford Peet, Q.C. and Mrs. Peet of Saskatoon, spent the weekend with Rev. Stan C. McDonald. Mrs. Eileen Rannie spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Don Bender and family of Dashwood. Mr. and- Mrs. William Mickle and John, Exeter, spent Sunday with the former's mother, and attended the anniversary service at the Hensall United Church. Mr. and Mrs. William Little and daughters Susan and Sheila of Stratford visited with Mr. and Mrs. Earle Rowe on Sunday. ° Hensall Sales Barn Supply consisted mainly of heifers and steers; demand was active and prices were steady to higher.
