Very often in a
newspaper office a
question arises on the
history of a certain place
or the life and
background of a person.
As an authority on the
history and times of
Bayfield, the late Lucy
Woods Diehl probably
had no equal. We at the
`News -Record will miss
Lucy's Ramblings and
are grateful for the years
in which she wrote for us.
Her passing, to the people
of Bayfield, must be like
the end of an era, Lucy
and the Hut - so much a
part of the village.
