As an authority on the history and times of Bayfield, the late Lucy Woods Diehl probably had no equal. We at the `News -Record will miss Lucy's Ramblings and are grateful for the years in which she wrote for us. Jeff Hearn of Townsend Street and Rick Brown of RR5 Clinton made the journey in conjunction with •Toc Alpha - the Youth Section of Alcohol and Drug Concerns, Inc. P Jeff is president of all Ontario branches and Rick is a Member and Publicity representative for Ontario. The two made the trip to Beausejour, Manitoba, 40 miles out of. Winnipeg, to assist in the formation ..of a new Toe. • Alpha group for that region. (Harold Wise photo) Five Guides get camping badges Five members of the 2nd Clinton Girl Guide Company endured a cold and wet weekend and were able to earn their Camp Leadership Badges. Anne Lavis, Sharon East, Laureen Craig, Margie Wise and Karen Cook took part in a two day camping excursion on the shores of Lake Huron with 22 other guiders.Seven of the girls came from Clifford and Formosa. The Clinton girls received their badge after being tested by Doris Oppermon of ,Formosa.
