Bob Elliot attended the
rec meeting because he
was mainly interested in
the proposed township
hall and wished to add
weight to his question-
naire ' answers. He
criticized the wording of
it saying he felt the
average resident knew
too little about the subject
to answer the questions
properly.
The rec. committee
agreed to this but in-
dicated they had con-
ducted a public meeting
last year which, as often
is the case in such en-
deavours, is poorly at-
tended. Also regular
columns appear in the
local papers yet some
people fail to read them.

Hullett
happenings
Grade 7 Trip
On Friday, May 18, the
grade 7 class went to the
Hullett Conservation
Area. The trip included a
cook -out and a visit to the
heroney in the morning.
Then in the afternoon
they went orienteering
with compasses. The day
was educational and
enjoyed by all.
Rural Voice
visitor
On Monday, May 14,
Rhea Hamilton from the
Rural Voice in Blyth
came to our school. She
interviewed three pupils
in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
She asked the pupils
their names and many
questions about living on
a farm. These interviews
will be in the June ad-
dition of Rural Voice.
Grade 8 visitor
On Thursday May 17, a
'representative from the
Ministry of Natural
Resources came to our
school and talked to the
grade eights about
fishing and different
types of fish.
Near the end of the
visit, the pupils disected
some of the fish. After he
left, the pupils talked
about the different parts
and sections. The visit
Was part of the grade 8's'
