entertain

Kippen East Women's
Institute was entertained
by the 4-H Club, led by
Mrs. S. Wilson and Mrs.
Gibson when they met in
the Legion Hall, Hensall,
on Tuesday, May 15.
Estelle Wilson in-
troduced Mary Gibson
and Kathy Mustard, who
presented the demon-
stration "Face
Framers". Heather
Moffatt, Jean Allan, Julie
Townsend, Brenda
Broadfoot, Estelle
Wilson, Mary Gibson,
Janet Kerr, Lisa Johns,
Melissa Moffatt and
Kathy Mustard each
presented work ac-
complished during the
club. Jean Allan was
presented with a gift in
honour of her
achievement of
Provincial Honours. Mrs.
E. Ehitehouse thanked
the leaders, to which Mrs.
Wilson and Mrs. Gibson
responded.
Heather Moffatt
thanked the Institute for
their interest in 4-H
Work. Mrs. Alex
McGregor chaired this
part of the program. Mrs.
Dave Triebner,
president, gave a poem
"What Makes a Home?"
Mrs. Grace Drummond
gave the motto "Quilts''.
Mrs. E. Whitehouse gave
"Ten Commandments of
how : to get along with
people"'. Mrs. Vern
Alderdice gave current
events and courtesy
remarks.
Delegates to the
district annual held May
17 were Mrs. R. Kinsman,
Mrs. Dave Triebner and
Mrs. Alex McGregor.

UCW of St. Andrews
Church Kippen met with
a good attendance May 15
in the Sunday School
room of the Church. Mrs.
Alex McMurtrie con-
ducted the worship with
Mrs. Jack Sinclair at the
piano in the absence of
Mrs. R. Broadfoot.
Mrs. Emerson Kyle
presided over the
business part of the
meeting and the various
reports were given. It
was decided to
houseclean the church
and volunteers would be
appreciated. It was
decided to reupholster
the pulpit chairs and Mrs.
Jack Sinclair and Mrs.
Norman Dickert are to
look into this project and
report. . ,A skit was
presented by the leaders
of the different -com-
mittees and was
prepared by Mrs. Edison
McLean and Mrs. J.
Anderson.
