bad for Linda Jones out at
RR 2, Clinton. As you
may know the Jones had .
a fair chunk of bad luck
back in April when a fire
gutted their home, but
her two children think
she's tops, and last week
they won a Royal Doulton
figurine from a Kit-
chener store for a
glowing letter about her
on Mother's Day.

Clinton x-rays done right
Despite the claims by
' Gail Moffatt, president of
the Ontario Society for
Radiological
Technicians, saying that
anyone can operate a
piece of x-ray equipment,
Clinton Public Hospital
administrator Doug
Coventry noted that this
does not occur in Clin-
ton's hospital.
Mr. Coventry pointed
out that the hospital has
two technoligists had
work regularly and three
part-time operators. All
are registered x-ray
technologists.
Helen Taylor, past
president of the
Tnrhniri-ans Society said
in an article in The Globe
and Mail that needless
cases of luekemia are
developing because of
sloppy x-ray practices
and too much. radiation
being used.
Mr. Coventry con-
firmed that the overuse of
radiation has not and
porobably will not take
place in the Clinton
hospital.
"We're not letting
anyone loose in the x-ray
eve
SAT/SFY
department,"
stressed.
He added that the x-ray
he division is checked twice
a year to ensure that it is
being -run property.
