Crawford, where they attended the dinner for the opening of the golf club. • + + + Mrs. Florence Oliver spent last week visiting her niece and family in Ottawa, topuring the city and admiring the gorogeous tulip beds which were an array of colour. While there, she a; lso attended the Shakesperean play Hamlet at the National Arts Centre. + + + Well, things can't be all bad for Linda Jones out at RR 2, Clinton. As you may know the Jones had . a fair chunk of bad luck back in April when a fire gutted their home, but her two children think she's tops, and last week they won a Royal Doulton figurine from a Kit- chener store for a glowing letter about her on Mother's Day. Mrs. Bert Boyes has returned from her horse in West Palm Beach, Florida and has moved to 107 High Street. (Vanastra Public School photo) Dancing up a storm Municipal officers meet in Clinton About 11-5 clerks, council members, reeves, mayors, country workers, and members of parliament arrived in Clinton last Wednesday to take part in theseminar of the Huron County • Municipal Officers Association. The day long event, held at , the Clinton Legion, is an *annual meeting that attempts to ........bring all members of Huron's 27 municipalities together. A moment of tribute was given to Alexander McBurney, a former treasurer of East Wawanosh Township, who worked for the township for over 30 years, but died on April 7, 1979. After a lunch served by the Legion Ladies, the officers for the 1979 term were, chosen. The new officials include: past president, Cam Proctor, Clinton clerk; president, Bill Morley, Usborne Township reeve; first vice president, Joan Armstrong, West Wawanosh clerk; second vice president, Elizabeth Oke, Hensall clerk. Mr. Coventry pointed out that the hospital has two technoligists had work regularly and three part-time operators. All are registered x-ray technologists.
