This week at the Iom
by Rene Brochu
What a week for our
branch! Each. day
brought on a new
challenge as our staff was
hard pressed in keeping
up with the setting up and
taking down and the
cleaning chores.
Monday evening, our
Ladies Auxiliary were
occupied with the OSSTF
executive dinner with
another delicious menu
for the teachers
executive. Then Tuesday
evening our Ladies
Auxiliary Bowling
League were treated to
another delightfully
prepared dinner of ham
and all the trimmings and
finished off the evening
with card games and
socializing.
Wednesday evening our
Auditorium was oc-
cupied by the Huron Fuel
Injection Equipment
meeting and demon-
strations, our staff was
gracious enough to
prepare a lunch for them
of donuts and coffee.
Thursday evening was
again busy with darts in
our tower lounges and
bingo in our auditorium.
Our faithful bingo teams
were again willingly on
hand to conduct the bingo
and Janet Huffman of
Bayfield was the lucky
winner of the $200 jackpot
prize, we're sure she'll
find good use for her
winnings. While bingo
was active with a good
crowd in our auditorium,
our dart club was busily
engrossed in the singles
playoffs. Winning the
ladies single competition
was Rosemary Arm-
strong and the runner-up
was Edna Atkinson. The
mens singles competition
was won by Comrade
Terry Hollinshead while
the runner-up was
Comrade Doug McIssac.
Prizes for these playoffs,
both singles and doubles
will be presented this
corning • Thursday. The

TGIF Raffle prize last
week was Comrade
"Hap" McAlpine and
taking home the runner-
up prize was Comrade
Bill Chambers. Our at-
tendance draw keeps
growing as Comrade
Paul Draper had failed to
register last week.
Our Clinton Area Hydro
employees surely can be
proud of their record as
they went through
another whole year
without an accident. Our
congratulations to them
as effective January 1st,
1979, they have now
completed a total of 15
years of accident free
work, quite an ac-
complishment. London
Regional Director, Mr.
Bainbridge was on hand
to present the award to
Bill Bircham, the Clinton
area union safety
representative. Our
Ladies Auxiliary were
again in the forefront as
they once again came up
with a super dinner for
the Hydro employees and
their ladies. Our thanks
to the employees at the
Clinton Office for the
tasteful decorative at-
mosphere they created
for banquet. Our thanks
also to Wine Host Milt
Schrieber and to Eric and
Mrs. Switzer for tending
bar for our Hydro
patrons.
Saturday evening our
Auditorium was the scene

Just this last Monday,
once again, our faithful
Ladies Auxiliary were
out in force and catered
to the Spring Banquet for
the OSSTF Teachers
Federation. It was again
a busy evening for our
Ladies and volunteer
men who were present to
assist in the workload.
Again our thanks to Milt
Schrieber for acting as
the Wine Host and to"
Comrade Al Welsh who
assisted in seeing to the
needs of our OSSTF
patrons.
This coming Saturday,
our three euchre teams
will journey to Shallow
