The Curator of the
Tweedsmuir History
Book, Mrs. Thomas
Haggitt, gave a resume of
the work of her com-
mittee bringing the
history of the village and
district up to date at the
February meeting of the
Auburn Women's
Institute when it met in
the Community
Memorial Hall last
Tuesday.
President, Mrs.
Eleanor Bradnock, was
in charge of the meeting
which was opened with
the Ode, the Mary
Stewart Collect and 0
Canada. Mrs. Catherine
Jackson was the pianist.
After welcoming
everyone, the president
gave a reading, I Shall
Pass Through This World
But Once.
The minutes were
accepted as read by the
secretary, Mrs. Robert
Peck. It was announced
that the Huron -West
District executive
meeting will be held on
April 2 at 1:30 p.m.
The float was discussed
and ideas exchanged with
members asking to bring
more ideas for the next
meeting.
The needlepoint classes
are to begin on Friday,
February 23 at 1 p.m. in
the hall.
The card report was
given by Mrs. Lillian
Letherland and thank -
you cards were read from
Mrs. Randy Machan and
Craig and Robert Turner.
The roll call was an-
swered by naming a
museum you had visited
and something you found
interesting in it.
Mrs. Catherine
Jackson played a pianp
solo of a medley of tunes
and Mrs. Oliver Anderson
gave ,a reading, Let Your
Pastor. Know. • A solo,
Paper Roses, was sung
by Mrs. Gordon Chamney
accompanied by Mrs.
Donald Haines.
A Valentine contest
was conducted by Mrs.
Beth Lansing and the
winner was Mrs. Thomas
Haggitt.
Lunch was served by
Mrs. Beth Lansing, Mrs.,.
Robert Turner and Mrs.
Catherine Jackson. Mrs.
Gordon Chamney held
the lucky serviette and
cup and received two
prizes.

with Mrs. Frances Clark.
