(News -Record photo) Londesboro news and meetings Londesboro II 4-H The second meeting 'of the Londesboro II 4-H club was held at Kittie McGregor's on Sep- tember 25 with nine members present. Judy Jewitt read the minutes of the. • last meeting and the name for the club ' was chosen, "Kittie's Kooking Kats." Nancy Anstett's group made "Energy Squares." Mrs. McGregor's group made "Healthy 'Peanut Bread." Mrs. McGregor told the girls about breakfast and then each member filled in the skipper's scramble. For homework the girls" are to plan four breakfast menus. Mrs. Anstett then led the group in a game on Food Guide Bingo. After the business was completed the girls tasted the squares and s sampled the loaf. The next meeting is set for October 2, 7 p.m: at Mrs. McGregor's. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Jack Armstrong, Mr.'and Mrs. Glen Carter and Colleen spent the weekend visiting the former's sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Taman of Brampton and the Tat- ter's aunt, Mrs. Hazel Kerr and Margaret in Toronto.While in Toronto the Carters attended the last Blue Jay game of the season against • the Red Sox. Middleton church celebrates Harvest Home by Blanche Deeves Harvest Home service On Sunday morning the congregation of St. James Anglican Church joined the Trinity Church, Bayfield for the combined Harvest Home service at . 10 am with Rev. George Youmatoff in charge of the service. Assisting in the service were Canon F. Paull, Mr. P.H. DuBoulay and the Rt, Rev. W.A. Town- shend. Everyone gathered for a social time in the Parish Hall for coffee, a lunch and joined in with a visit with Bishop and Mrs. Townshend. Next Sunday at St. James, Harvest Home service and Holy Com- munion will be held at 11:15 am. Last, year the congregation tried an innovation, remember. A display of family photographs to remind us of the blessings of family life. Dig out that photograph old or new and bring it with you next Sunday. Personals Mrs. Elizabeth Mullens of Ottawa motored from Kitchener on Friday of last week to spend the day with her mother Mrs. Fred Middleton and sisters and brothers in the vicinity, while her husband Dr. J.E. Mullens, who is head of surgery at Ottawa Civic Hospital, attended a surgical meeting in Kitchener. Our congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dupius on their 26th wedding anniversary recently. Also to Ray, congratulations, he has been in the shoe repair business in Clinton for 26 years.
