that the hospital project is
complete. Walt Disney
characters were painted on
the walls of the Children's
Ward, curtains to match were
made and hung, and the
sleepers and crib blankets
Exemplar Chapter to help
at Red Cross clinic
The Xi Epsilon Beta
Chapter of the Beta Sigma
Phi will once again be helping
with the Red Cross Blood
Donor Clinic to be held on
May 30 in Clinton.
Members will be ad-
dressing cards sent to donors
ird phoning to check any
anges. Vice president
Brenda Rutledge distributed
the lists when the chapter met
on May 9 at the home of Ann
Adams.
Mrs. Rutledge also
reported that the hooked rug
is finished and the draw will
be made at the next meeting.
In other business, Marg
Dobson took a final count of
members taking guests to the
Little Inn, Bayfield for a
Mother's Day lunch. She also
asked members to decide
where they would like to eat
when they go to Stratford on
May 31.
President Lois Fitzgerald
read a letter from the Clinton
istrict Young Players in-
iting the chapter to attend
their production of Guys and
Dolls. Mrs. Dobson read a
letter from the Huron Day
Care Centre for the
homebound inviting them to
attend a workshop on May 10.
The cultural program
following they business
meeting dealt with the world
famous French actress,
Sarah Bernhardt. Audrey
Kemps told of the brilliant
career of Mlle. Bernhardt
who died in 1923.
Sarah Bernhardt was as
well known for her ec-
centricities as her acting.
Mrs. Kemps described her
exotic home, complete with a
skeleton and coffin, her
menagerie including a
cheetah and monkey and her
costumes made oily from
expensive material and
gems.
While enjoying the lunch
served by the hostess, the
sorority workshop held in
Exeter recently was
discussed by those who at-
tended.

Knox Presbyterian Church
in Goderich was the setting
for the May 13 wedding of
Carolyn Jane Chowen and
Larry Thomas Mitchell.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William J.
Chowen, R.R. 3, Clinton and
the groom is the son of the
late Charles Mitchell and
vlrs. Ford Little, Goderich.
Rev. Lockhart Royal of-
ficiated at the afternoon
ceremony and organ music
was supplied by Lorne H.
Dotterer.
Escorted up the aisle by her
ther, the bride was dressed styled hat. A corsage of
a floor length gown with a sweetheart roses completed
flowing train and matching her outfit. Following the
veil. wedding trip the newlyweds

For a wedding trip to
Quebec City the bride
changed into a pale yellow
dress with a matchink turban

that the chapter purchased
were delivered to the
hospital.
Plans for the barbecue to be
held at Rose Cooke's on May
29 were discussed.
Service reported on the
upcoming Red Cross Blood
Donor Clinic. Sorority will be
addressing reminder cards
and telephong donors.
It was voted that the
Chapter help the Kinettes
with the Arthritis campaign
in the fall.
Next, Rose Cooke
presented an interesting
cultural program on Career
and Marriage.
Following the business part
of the meeting, was the
Installation of Officers
ceremony for the 1978-79
Sorority Year.
The new executive is as
follows: President - Mary
Marsh; Vice President -
Michele Hansen; Recording
and Corresponding Secretary
- Linda Bell; and Treasurer -
Janice Snell.
Mary Marsh was presented
with the "Girl of the Year"
pin and a cake plate. Perfect
attendance pins were
awarded to all active
members.
The meeting was concluded
with a lovely buffet lunch,
prepared by Rose Cooke.

Outdoor service planned for Ontario St.
Arrangements were made
for the Ontario Street Cen-
tennial outdoor church ser-
vice at the UCW executive
meeting held on Tuesday May
9.
The service will be held on
Sunday June 25, in the Clinton
Conservation Park, located
south of Clinton on Highway
4. Following this special open
air service, a buffet style
picniclunch will be featured.

Huronview Auxiliary on
Monday, May 15, held in the
board room, the newly
elected president, Mrs. Anne
McNichol opened the meeting
by reading a p.oem, Time.
Seventeen members an-
swered the roll call, name
someone you would like to
visit.
The Blossom Tea is being
held on May 31 from 2-4 p.m.
and final plans were made for
it. The Blyth W.I. to be in
charge of the tea and tea
tables and Clinton W.I. to
take care of the bake table.
Any donations to the bake
table will be appreciated. It is
hoped there will be a good
attendance of interested
friends at this event.

setting at St. Paul's Anglican
Church, Clinton on April 29
for the exchange of wedding
vows between Dana Beverley
Morgan and Jace Mark
Livingstone.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas
Morgan, Clinton and the
groom is the son of Mr.. and
Mrs. Robert Livingstone,
Kitchener.
Rev. Youmatoff officiated
at the double ring ceremony.
Cathy Potter of Clinton was
the organist and ac-
companied the soloist,
Brenda Galachiuk, Clinton.
Escorted up the aisle by her
father the bride was dressed
in a long white gown of matte
silk which fell into a
cathedral train. The bodice
and cap sleeves were edged
with guipure lace on a sheer
insert. The cathedral length
veil was also edged with the
same lace.
To complete her outfit the
bride carried a bouquet of
petal pink sweetheart roses
and baby's breath and wore a
diamond drop necklace, a gift
of the groom.
Janis Adam, R.R. 1, Put-
nam, a cousin of the bride
was the maid of honor. She
wore a petal . pink, silk knit
gown with halter neckline and
chiffon cape.
Cathy Pichard, Clinton and
Angela Flynn., Clinton were
the bridesmaids. Their gowns
were identical to the maid of
honor. Each girl carried a
bouquet of pink miniature
carnations and baby's breath
and wore matching ivory
bracelets and earrings, a gift
from the bride.
Chris Fowler, Kitchener, a
friend of the groom was best
man. Ushers were Jim
Livingstone, a brother of the
groom and Brad Morgan, a
brother of the bride. ,
