• News of Holmesville
by Blanche Deeves
After a two week holiday
the Holmesville I 4-H group
returned to their meetings on
March 30. This was the
second last meeting of the
club.
The group first met at the
home of their leader Mrs.
Betties and then went to
Goderich where Dave
Harrison and Dave Barrick
described and demonstrated
in great detail the com-
ponents of one of the Goderich
ambulances. No one realized
how self contained these
vehicles are and it might well
be described as a mobile
operating theatre.
Special thanks was given to
the ambulance attendants
who gave their time and
efforts to the club.
Upon returning to the
leader's 'home the girls
discussed hazardous product
symbols, poisonous plants,
falls, storage of foods and
electrical hazards. The girls
then filled in a questionnaire
on falls.
The next meeting is
scheduled for Wednesday
evening, April 5 at Mrs. Don
Harris'. For this meeting the
girls will attend a Goderich
Township Council meeting in
Holmesville.
WI Meeting

Talent show fills church
The swirl on the bagpipes,
played by Murray East

a most enjoyable evening for
a capacity audience at the
talent show Ontario Street
United Church Hall last
Friday night.
With his usual wit and
expertise, Bob Elliott kept the
program rolling in ages from
10 to 70.
The congregation is looking
forward to more of these
events when the talents of
those who did not fi,.it
