Cougars take cup
It came down to the third
period in the fifth game last
Thursday night before the
Clinton Cougars finally
cinched the cup in the
Christian Church hockey
league, from Drayton in a!
game
The scoring remained close
up until the end of the second
period when Drayton was in
the lead by 1-0_
However, in the third, two
goals by Richard Hoogen-
doorn and a goal apiece by
Leonard KolkTnan, Clarence
Roorda, Terry Showmaker
put the Cougars one goal up to
give them three wins in ,the
best -of -five game series.

At London on March 29, I3.0. (Bud) of Goderith was
fifth with his line Jerry in the fifth. Ray Mathers drove
Granny Mathers to a fourth spot for the Broken M_.

Messenger, owned by Evelyn Rapson of Reline.,
was third with her son Bill on the bike. The seven-year-

even-yerold trotter by All Aflame - Debutante Hanover only
missed a cheque on one occasion this year. He has been
second once, third three times and fourth ecce from six
starts._
