(News -Record photo) This week at the Legion by Rene Brochu Last Saturday evening, the auditorium was again filled to capacity with Country Singles Club members from the surrounding area as well as those 50 miles away, as they danced to the music of Scott's Band. Did you know that the Country Singles Club now has close to 2,000 members registered coming from the local area and as far distant as London, Qrillia, Kitchener, Owen Sound, Sarnia and Windsor, and the numbers keep growing with every gathering. Last Saturday evening at least five bir- thdays were celebrated. One of the directors, Bety Cardno was home with the flu. Dart night was again a busy evening, as more and more people are becoming active. It looks as though the Legion will have to expand the area of play as the back room gets kind of crowded at times, but the bar ,staff will come up with sorne.solution. The fifth Playhouse production of the summer season is the nostalgic comedy hit from the thirties, The Man Who Came To Dinner. Moss Hart and Geo. Kaufman created this popular classic which originally starred Monty Wooley as the celebrated, cantankerous and egocentric man who carne to dinner, and stayed several weeks.
