You have Pzaz, Although- some may call such a gathering, total bedlam, With too loud music, too many kids and too rohgh surroundings: even the Gocierich detachment of the OP`P said that the party was well run and there were few 1oniplaints. Now you may wonder why I would choose to write' a column about one of imy weekend flings, but Pza2 was more than just a party. Held on some land near Pirie Lake which is owned by Harry Torrance, his son Murray organized the bash, and what a bash it was. . Along with the "i'nusic' on Satu. day night,„ Sunday. af- ternoon everyone listened to falksingers, ate 20, dozen cobs of corn ancf,a 125' pound dressed pig, which had been cooking throughout the night and played in horseshoe tournaments:. Tickets were $5 apiece for the weekend event, but the money was not completely pocketeaiy the Torrances. After the expenses are paid, the proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. . ' Such an idea is wonderful, that hundreds of Imy peers can go out and "rave" all nigh* and still be helping others, instead of the usual idea that we hinder others with our booze, our grass, our rock, our clothes and our manners. You see, We're not all that bad. This coming weekend, a repeat 'performance of last will take place when the rock band Helix will play. Originally this Kitchener based group was to play last weekend but the rain prevented them from doing this. The partying will begin on Saturday and finish up on Monday at the same location and tickets are still' available. As an extra feature Father Mike from Kitchener has' been -invited tp the second weekend of Pzaz. He is a friend of the band and works with children who suffer from cystic fibrosis. What a way to party, by having so many kids get together and for such a good cause.
