Baptist Church rtews
The regular Sunday ser-
vices were held in the
Bayfield Baptist Church,
beginning with Sunday School
where there were classes for
all ages from the Nursery
right up to the oldest adult. Of
course every one is not only
"welcome but encouraged to
attend.
At the morning service
Pastor Harrison spoke on
"Privileges", using 1st John
3: 1-3 as his text.
As the old hymn goes "I
count it a privilege here, His
cross to bear if Jesus goes
with me I'll go. Anywhere!"
The evening service was a
continuation of the study of
the book of Daniel, beginning
the ninth chapter. This
chapter reports the Prayer of
• Daniel both for 'himself and
the nation of Israel.
After the evening service,
an hour was spent in a social
gathering in the Sunday
School room, with refresh-
ments and friendly' visiting
with one another.

The Baptist Women's
♦ fellowship Prayer Group held
their. annual picnic at the
home of Janet Talbot with 11
members present. After a
bounteous picnic supper, two
very interesting contests
were enjoyed, the first being
"Guess What Lorraine is
wearing", Lorraine being one
of the guests, but was hidden
for this time. Phyllis
4 Nicholson was in charge of
this game.
Muriel Snider had a contest
to see how many signatures
each person could get, but
each had to be'"for a specific
thing. This caused some
hilarity and was followed by a
candy scramble, in which
everyone participated.
The fun was followed with a
short business meeting, the
minutes of the last meeting
were read and adopted, then
Gladys Talbot read the lovely
poem written by Lillian
Steckle that will accompany
the quilt that will go to the
Sheils Family in Tillsonburg.
