of Hensall United Church was
held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Payne, with 12
members present. Mrs.
Edison Forrest presided
opening with a poem by
Robert Service, "My
Friends".
"Distraction of Little
Things" was the theme of the

is given to big things in• life
anrt not enough to the small
details. Two hymns, "God
reveals His Presence" and
"0, Jesus I have promised"
were sung, roll call answered
and offering dedicated.
The business session was
conducted by Mrs. Payne.

planned and the details on the
Auction Sale, August 13, were
announced. The Beef Bar-
becue yielded a good profit to
be put towards the new
stained glass windows and
the Manse Fund.
October 18 is Enrichment
Day in Centralia, and Unit 2 is
to place flowers in the san-
ctuary during August.

meeting in October was
discussed and a concert
announced. Plans were made
for .a wedding reception on
June 25.
To close the business, the
"Ballad of Blasphemous Bill"
and "Cremation of Sam
McGee" both by Robert
Service, were read.
Instead of a study, Mrs.
Payne showed slides of
Mormon and Mennonite
country and spoke a little on
their beliefs and way of life.
The meeting closed with the
Mizpah Benediction and a
delicious lunch was served by
Mrs. John Alexander and her

Brucefield, Kippen youth visit Metro 200
The annual outing last
Monday of the Adventurers
and Young Peoples' of
Brucefield and Kippen took
the form of a bus trip to the
Toronto Metro Zoo.
A full day of activity
touring the various displays
ending with a train tour of the
outer area of the Zoo left a
very tired and satisfied
group.
Thanks are due to Rev. and
Mrs. E.S. Stephens who
planned the day and the other
leaders who made it a suc-
cess, Mrs. B. Stoll, Mrs. A.
Walters, Mrs. R. Finlayson

Our mistake
Even with all the News -
Record's exceptional help
and articles submitted from
the various correspondents in
the area there is sometimes a
little confusion as to who
writes what.
Such was the case in last
week's paper when we
mistakenly confused our
Bayfield correspondents and
put Janet Talbot's name to an
article:written by Nina;Haw.
We do hope that both, ladies
will excuse us for this error
and we ap ogize for any
inconveniences this mistake
may have caused.
